The Jealousy Collection.
The Jealousy Collection is a set of three publications which strive to show the harmful impacts of the beauty standards set on women. This collection includes two riso books and one magazine. Within Jealousy you will find a range of different models and they all don't comply with the beauty norms in various different ways.
The first publications within Jealousy is a set of 3 riso pamphlets held together by a titled belly band. Within these pamphlets you will find a range of drawings done by the public when they were asked "what is the perfect female body?". Each pamphlet has a blank front and back page, the front page is for the viewer to draw what they think the perfect female body is, and the last page is to see if after reading the whole Jealousy collection their view changes.
The second riso book within The Jealousy Collection is an A3 flip book. Within this book it shows what the real female body looks like. This book contains 3 different models, none of which fit within beauty norms. The book was printed in the same way as the first riso publication, using the same colours to link the two together.
The final publication within The Jealousy collection is Jealousy Magazine. This magazine covers a range of different topics including what really is beauty, the way the beauty standards influence young women to get plastic surgery, how the beauty industry affects peoples mental and physical health, and the last section covering how to love yourself naked. The magazine was designed to be bright and colourful to draw viewers in but its content is very powerful and dark. Once the viewer has finished reading Jealousy they should be able to view themselves differently and know they don't have to fit into the beauty norms to be truly beautiful.
